Mark Emmert gets contract extension through 2020


NCAA President Mark Emmert’s contract was extended by three more years, the organization announced on Monday. The NCAA Board of Governors unanimously voted to keep Emmert in place through 2020 at its quarterly board meeting on Jan. 16. Emmert has held the NCAA’s top job since October 2010 and currently makes more than $1.3 million a year in base salary. The contract also includes an option to extend to 2021. (USA Today)
