Keuka College to Change ‘Wolfpack’ Nickname After Pressure From N.C. State
Posted Feb 8, 2016
Keuka College, a small liberal-arts institution in upstate New York, is changing its nickname under legal pressure from North Carolina State University. N.C. State, whose teams are also known as the Wolfpack, said Keuka’s nickname was infringing on its trademark and demanded that the college stop using it. Some colleges are able to share nicknames, as long as there is no likelihood of confusion between the two.
