Brogdon, UVA rise to the occasion while UNC, Johnson falter again

Saturday’s game between No. 7 North Carolina and No. 3 Virginia was a head-to-head showdown between the top two contenders for the league’s Player of the Year award. It’s a battle won decisively by the Cavaliers’ Malcolm Brogdon, who contributed 26 points, six rebounds, three assists and his usual lockdown defense to propel his team to a 79-74 victory.
