Roy Williams believes in making at least three passes per possession, unless a layup is available, and he wants the ball to change sides of the floor. That much movement gives the defense a chance to make a mistake. “In 43 years of coaching, I’ve never designed a play to get a jump shot,” Williams said. “Every one is designed to get a layup."
