MLS Opening Weekend Featured 16 Former Tar Heels

The 2016 MLS season kicked off last weekend, and 16 former UNC soccer players were on opening day rosters. Houston Dynamo boasts four Tar Heels, followed by two each with Chicago Fire, FC Dallas, Real Salt Lake and Seattle Sounders. Columbus Crew SC, New England Revolution, New York City FC and New York Red Bulls each boast one player from UNC.
