Hunter Williams struck out seven over five shutout innings in his first start of the season, and No. 3 North Carolina beat Western Carolina, 10-2, Tuesday night at Boshamer Stadium. UNC sent nine men to the plate in a four-run first inning and never looked back in improving to 18-2 on the year ahead of a key ACC home series against Georgia Tech.
