Today, when the Associated Press releases its college basketball poll, expect to see the University of North Carolina in the No. 1 ranking for the first time in six years. UNC made sure that happens on Sunday night with an 84-58 victory over Florida State in the Tar Heels’ ACC opener in front of a crowd of 21,010 at the Smith Center. (Kinston Free Press)
