UNC finishes fast start in '06

Based on what happened Sunday afternoon, North Carolina's men's basketball players might be wearing the biggest grins of all after the 2006-07 season. No. 2 UNC routed Dayton 81-51 in front of 19,967 fans at the Smith Center, finishing with a 7-0 record in the month of December. Six UNC teams in the last 15 years have gone undefeated in December, and five of them -- including the 2005 NCAA championship team -- reached the Final Four. (Durham Herald-Sun)
