ESPN's The Undefeated finally launches

The Undefeated, ESPN’s new site featuring sports stories and other content from an African American perspective, launched Tuesday. Dubbed "the Black Grantland" – a reference to the defunct ESPN-owned sports commentary site once run by sports journalist Bill Simmons – the network’s long-awaited digital-storytelling venture had been plagued by management turbulence before it sought to reboot with a new editor-in-chief, Kevin Merida, the former managing editor of The Washington Post.
