Louisville's Onuaku needs minor heart surgery, likely staying in draft

Louisville big man Chinanu Onuaku will have minor heart surgery on Tuesday after doctors would not clear him to begin private NBA draft workouts with teams, coach Rick Pitino said. Onuaku's condition is a "heart rhythm issue known as Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome," according to U of L sports information. Onuaku, a 6-foot-10 sophomore, has until May 25 to decide if he'd like to turn professional. (Louisville Courier-Journal)
