Posted May 23, 2016
Clemson’s Seth Beer made ACC history Monday when he became the first player ever to win the league’s Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards in the same season. Beer, a freshman outfielder, tied for the ACC lead with 15 home runs and ranked third with 60 RBI while hitting .378. He joins N.C. State’s Carlos Rodon as the only ACC freshmen to win two major awards in the same season.
