The odds were stacked against the Tar Heels ahead of UNC's national championship women's lacrosse match with Maryland. The Tar Heels deserved to be here as the no. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and with three wins to bring them to championship Sunday. But down the sideline stood the Terrapins, undefeated in 2016, winners of 26 straight games.
