UNC student heading to Olympics as sports writer
Posted Jun 9, 2016
When James Tatter and his friend, Joe Wilson, ran track at Reynolds High School, they often talked about how cool it would be to go to the Olympics. Tatter, now a freshman at North Carolina, will live that dream this summer as a sports writer. He’ll travel to Rio de Janiero to help cover the Olympics as part of a wire service that will be heavy on athletes and officials with ties to UNC.
