Roy, you’ve made us proud

The guy is good. Good to the point his name is mentioned with the all-time greats — Dean Smith, John Wooden, Mike Krzyzewski, Bobby Knight. Roy Williams could walk away today and still belong in that company. But at age 56, he could end up surpassing them all. What is perhaps the best aspect of Roy Williams is this: His character. Bring up his name and there are none of the tantrums, recruiting scandals or other baggage that weigh down big-time collegiate sports in this era. Roy Williams has done this area proud, and he’s done it the right way.
