Defensive end Xavier Lyas commits to NC State

Plant City (FL) Durant defensive end Xavier Lyas has been a Wolfpack lean since landing an offer from NC State six weeks ago. Lyas had hinted that a commitment could be forthcoming once he visited Raleigh and that came to fruition Thursday evening. In addition to NC State, Lyas (6-5, 200 pounds) held offers from Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Florida International and South Florida.
