Shalane Flanagan breaks American record in 10K

Four-time U.S. Olympian Shalane Flanagan set an American road record for the 10K distance as she captured the sixth annual BAA 10K event. Flanagan was making her last road appearance before a month of altitude training at Park City, Utah, prior to the Aug. 14 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Marathon. Flanagan crossed the finish in a scintillating time of 30:52.
