As for Durant, this will be his first regular-season game in a year after he tore an Achilles tendon in last season’s opening game. He also missed the final nine games of 2014 with a torn tendon in his right elbow, meaning he has played only 11 regular-season games in two years. “It’s been a grind,” the 33-year-old Durant said this week.
