Five from N.C. who could challenge for ACC player of the year

UNC's Elijah Hood was third in the projections for ACC player of the year, so voters recognize Hood’s contribution of 1,463 yards and 17 touchdowns as the Tar Heels’ feature back. Hood averaged 15.6 carries per game, and made the most of them. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky has waited his turn, but in the past two seasons he has shown flashes of brilliance.
