If Roy Williams had worn an apron and a netted cap instead of his sharp gray suit, he could have passed for a school lunch server. Shortly after he became the third-fastest coach to reach 500 career victories with North Carolina’s 94-69 win over High Point, Williams stood in the players lounge with a knife, passing out slices of his celebration cake to anybody who wanted one. Players, alumni and friends formed a line, and Williams filled every plate. (Fayetteville Observer)
