Bill Dooley remembered as the trench fighter who had a way with words

Bill Dooley's career coaching record was 162-125-5, with 10 bowl games in 26 seasons as a head coach. He coached Pro Football Hall of Famers Lawrence Taylor at North Carolina and Bruce Smith at Virginia Tech. He had a talent for winning everywhere he went — even, or especially, when he was charged with turning around a program.
