Brad Daugherty gets TV job on racing

Former North Carolina basketball star Brad Daugherty, who wore No. 43 during his All-Star NBA career to honor stock-car racing champion Richard Petty, has joined ABC and ESPN as a NASCAR analyst. Daugherty, 41, who led the ACC in scoring and rebounding in 1986, will provide a "fan's perspective" when the networks begin carrying races next season. (Raleigh News & Observer)
