Cupping became part of the national conversation during the Olympics. It gave insight into how athletes try different therapies to be ready to race. "And if somebody loses a hundredth of a percent, that's the difference between losing the gold and not make the finals," said Dr. Tim Taft, a University of North Carolina physician.
