Two Duke football defenders suspended for first three games

The Duke football team will be without two key defensive players for its first three games after the suspension of safety Phillip Carter and tackle Brandon Boyce. Coach David Cutcliffe announced the sanctions Thursday. No reason was given for why the players are being suspended, though both will be able to continue practicing with the team while being held out of game action.
