Georgia-North Carolina renewing classic rivalry

When Georgia defeated North Carolina between the hedges in 1966, a classic rivalry involving two of the oldest state universities ended, bringing about a downcast emotional state for both institutions. Bulldog fans loved road trips to Chapel Hill; Tar Heel fans felt the same way about a sojourn to Athens. Perspective can best be illuminated by going back one season to 1965.
