Point guard Makaela Kestner commits to UNC women's basketball

Point guard Makaela Kestner announced Monday that she verbally committed to the University of North Carolina women's basketball team. Tar Heels coaches offered her a scholarship Sept. 1 during a visit to her Bealeton (Va.) home. UNC was one of more than 50 teams that showed serious interest in Kestner, making her the most highly-recruited girls basketball player in Fauquier County history.
