This was a turning-point victory. Trailing by 13 points midway through the fourth quarter, it appeared the ship was sailing on UNC's season. A loss would have done irreparable damage to the Tar Heels' division title hopes and given them two losses before October. Instead, UNC made all the right moves down the stretch and showed grit in pulling out the victory. (Greensboro News & Record)
