N.C. State's Yow To Take Leave Of Absence To Fight Cancer

I realize this is not Tar Heel related, but I'd like to wish our classy rival coach Kay Yow a full and speedy recovery. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
North Carolina State University's head women's basketball coach announced Wednesday she will take an indefinite leave of absence from her coaching duties to fight breast cancer. Coach Kay Yow, 64, originally had a recurrence of her breast cancer two years ago, 17 years after its original diagnosis in 1987. Following two years of treatment with dietary modification, oral hormonal therapies and radiation, Yow's doctors recently detected progression of the disease.
