When a 15-0 run late in the first half gave unranked Winthrop a double-digit lead over No. 2 North Carolina on Wednesday, many UNC fans were checking to see if they had booked non-refundable trips to New York for Thanksgiving. But the Tar Heels rallied from behind to punch their ticket to the NIT Season Tip-Off semifinals with a 73-66 win over the upset-minded Eagles.
