Preseason workouts are completed. Practice games have been exhibited. Now, the time has come to begin what could be an extraordinary journey for the University of North Carolina men's basketball team. The second-ranked Tar Heels will open the season officially on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Charlotte against Scared Heart in the Preseason NIT. They will play the next game on Wednesday in Charlotte against the winner of the Iona-Winthrop game, again at 7 p.m.
