UNC: No news on job search


The sign in front of Steve Kirschner's seat in the press box gave the associate athletics director for communications' statement Saturday so Kirschner didn't have to. "There's no news to announce on the coaching search today," it read in bold print, a reminder of the circus North Carolina's coaching search has become. Since Wednesday, some Web sites and one newspaper -- the Winston-Salem Journal -- have reported based on anonymous sources that former Miami Hurricanes and Cleveland Browns coach will become North Carolina's next football coach.
