Source: Longhorns to hire Tom Herman as new coach

The Texas Longhorns will hire Houston coach Tom Herman as their next head coach, a source close to the situation told ESPN on Saturday. The announcement is expected to be made Saturday afternoon. Herman will replace Charlie Strong, who was fired Saturday after a 16-21 record in three years at Texas. Houston has been informed of Herman's departure, a source told ESPN.
