Heels Hire Butch Davis

As was first reported by Inside Carolina at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Butch Davis has signed a contract to become the next head coach at North Carolina. Inside Carolina received reports from several sources that a contract has been signed with Davis, though a formal announcement had not been scheduled and UNC has not given official confirmation. Sources indicate that a formal announcement could be delayed until after homecoming week, as there are conflicts being worked out regarding the timing of the announcement.
