Tar Heels take guarded approach, hold off Davidson

Despite three career-best performances for North Carolina players on Wednesday, it was Joel Berry’s absence that loomed largest. The Tar Heels watched a 15-point lead dwindle during a late collapse but made enough plays in the final two minutes to hold off Davidson for a 83-74 victory. “I think we thought it was going to be easy,” UNC coach Roy Williams said.
