Heels showed signs of life at South Bend


North Carolina visited the hallowed ground of college football Saturday to take on Notre Dame at its home stadium, and came away from the game, for perhaps the first time this season, with some truly positive things to think about its play. Carolina lost as expected, due to another largely ineffective game from the defense, but the Heels showed improved effort and execution in nearly every other aspect of the game. (Tar Heel Daily)
