Stanford's Christian McCaffrey begins NFL prep, won't play in bowl game

Stanford star running back Christian McCaffrey won't play in the Cardinal's bowl game to begin his preparations for the NFL, he announced Monday on Twitter. The Cardinal are scheduled to face North Carolina on Dec. 30 in the Sun Bowl in El Paso. "Very tough decision, but I have decided not to play in the Sun Bowl so I can begin my draft prep immediately."
