Observations | Tar Heels vs. St. Augustine's
Posted Nov 2, 2006
It will take an excellent opposing point guard to defeat the Tar Heels this season. North Carolina's depth allows constant overplays in halfcourt defense, and coach Roy Williams is using full-court presses and scrambling defenses more than at any time in his tenure with the Tar Heels. The result -- unless the opponents' guards prevent it -- is a lot of turnovers and fast-break opportunities.
