Wake picks off win

For three quarters, North Carolina's discombobulated football program showed off what might have been this season. The Tar Heels displayed a powerful running game, a smooth two-quarterback system and, finally, a semblance of a defense. And then reality -- and Wake Forest -- caught up with the Tar Heels. The 24th-ranked Demon Deacons scored the game's final 10 points and extinguished any "win-one-for-the-coach" sentiment. (Raleigh News & Observer)
