Next coach could earn 'Roy money'


Sources close to the negotiations say UNC officials made it clear they are willing to pay "Roy money," referring to the package basketball coach Roy Williams earns. The figure being tossed about is around $2 million per year. According to sources, Carolina officials also are offering a long-term deal, which means the contract would exceed the normal five years.
