UNC split a pair of games on Saturday in the second day of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, shutting out Purdue, 5-0, but falling, 10-2, to Ohio State. Freshman Brittany Pickett tossed a four-hit gem against the Boilermakers for the first UNC shutout of the season, while a disastrous sixth inning turned a close contest into a mercy-rule game in the rematch with Ohio State.
