Some players don’t believe in the existence of “soft” rims, but plenty do. Before this season began, Florida State's Xavier Rathan-Mayes said UNC has the softest rims in the ACC. Miami's Davon Reed and Virginia Tech's Allen said they get friendly rolls in Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. The numbers back up their claims, or at least give credence to their perceptions.
