Years ending with 7 have been very good for North Carolina basketball. Dating back 60 years, Tar Heel basketball has been right there at the conclusion of every season ending with the numeral seven. In 1957, of course, came the penultimate championship, the unbeaten 32-0 national and statewide heroes slew Kansas to win UNC’s first NCAA championship. (Chapelboro.com)
