John Daly pays tribute to Arnold Palmer, wins first career Champions Tour event
Posted May 9, 2017
John Daly won his first golf tournament in 13 years Sunday, holding on to win the Insperity Invitational by one stroke despite carding three consecutive bogeys over his final three holes. Daly’s last win came at the 2004 Buick Invitational. Walking up the 18th fairway needing just a bogey to win, Daly knelt to the ground and kissed the Arnold Palmer umbrella painted on the grass.
