UNC's Fox, Davidson's Cooke enter NCAA tourney with deep roots of commonality

Born in 1956, college graduates in 1978, and three-time letter winner’s in baseball at their respective universities, coach Mike Fox of UNC and coach Dick Cooke of Davidson College share more than just a match-up in the first round of the NCAA baseball tournament Friday. This is Davidson’s first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament after 115 years of play.
