Mets Sign Daniel Bard to Minor League Deal

Daniel Bard, the former dominant Red Sox reliever who lost his control during the 2012 season, is not giving up on his major league comeback attempt. Bard signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets. He has been assigned to the High-A St. Lucie Mets. The St. Louis Cardinals released him May 15 after he pitched 8 2/3 innings for Double-A Springfield.
