Buzz Peterson promoted by Charlotte Hornets

Buzz Peterson has been promoted to assistant general manager by the Charlotte Hornets, the team announced. The announcement means Peterson, a McDonald's All-American as a senior at Asheville in 1981 who went on to play four seasons at UNC, will continue to work with his college roommate, Michael Jordan, the Hornets' majority owner and chairman.
