Rutgers runs over North Carolina

The uncomfortable, squirming-in-your-seat feel of the Dark Ages of North Carolina football under coach John Bunting was back Saturday in a sobering 21-16, season-opening loss to Rutgers at Kenan Stadium. Bunting conveyed his disappointment to defensive captain Larry Edwards and the rest of the defense after Rutgers tailback Ray Rice rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries.
