North Carolina out to earn respect
The road back to respectability was a long one. But as it gets set to begin the 2006 season today, North Carolina's football team wants to turn that respectability into respect. That means doing more than being competitive for a half, which the Tar Heels accomplished in 10 of 11 games last season, or putting up a good fight for three quarters. It means winning games -- and winning them early in the season. (Durham Herald-Sun)
