Rutgers on the rise


After 137 years, Rutgers' football tradition is not nearly as distinguished as it long. Coach Greg Schiano is trying to change that. The Knights, who open against North Carolina on Saturday at Kenan Stadium, went 7-5 under Schiano last season, good enough for their second bowl game ever. Their only other bowl trip came in 1978.
