Myanmar refugee San San Lwin receives UNC's highest honor

At a recent interview, San San Lwin brought a folder filled with documents that tell the story of her escape from Myanmar and her arrival as a refugee in America. Lwin is a housekeeper in McIver residence hall, which has its perks. Eligibility for a C. Knox Massey Distinguished Service Award, UNC’s highest honor, is at the top of that list. And Lwin was one of 2017's six honorees. (UNC.edu)
