UNC men's soccer begins again as No. 1

It seems hardly a season ever passes without local fans getting to see at least one University of North Carolina athletic team ranked No. 1. This summer, for the first time since capturing the 2001 national championship, North Carolina sits atop the Soccer America Men's Top 25 Poll. Fans can get their first look at the 2006 Tar Heels -- voted No. 5 nationally in another preseason poll -- in the Blue-White Exhibition at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 on Fetzer Field. (Chapel Hill News)
